Moody Blooms

Dusky mauve melts into deep plum and flows into inky indigo through flashes of intense purple — a colour journey reminiscent of standing before a Himalayan Iris. Such captivating monochromatic transitions define Moody Blooms, arresting the viewer’s gaze with their immersive colour fields.

Part of an ongoing exploration of floral forms, this series comprises both sculpture-paintings and three-dimensional works in stainless steel and pigments. Here, steel is treated as a sensually supple sculptural material, manipulated to the limits of its malleability to capture organic petal-like forms. Transparent pigments enhance the natural luminosity of the metal, creating a luminous depth that gives the works a near-digital radiance, as if glowing from within a screen. This quality positions the pieces in a liminal space between the physical and the virtual.

These vivid blossoms stand as transformative objects, capable of altering the atmosphere of any setting with their arresting presence.
